Rustic No Yeast Bread Recipe

  • 2 cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 2 tsp Baking Powder
  • 2 tbsp Melted Butter (plus a little extra to coat bread)
  • 1/2 tsp Granulated Sugar
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 3/4 cup Warm Water
  • 1/4 cup Sesame Seeds


  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees.

  2. In large bowl mix flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.

  3. In separate bowl, add 2 tablespoons of melted butter to water.

  4. Add water and butter mixture to dry ingredients.

  5. Mix the ingredients until it forms a soft dough.

  6. Remove from bowl and place on lightly floured surface.

  7. Knead bread for 1-2minutes.

  8. Shape into loaf.

  9. Place dough on cookie sheet or baking stone.

  10. Brush the top of the loaf with melted butter.

  11. Sprinkle with sesame seeds if desired.

  12. Bake for 15minutes.

  13. Lower oven temperature to 325 and bake for another 10 minutes.

  14. Let cool completely on a wire rack before slicing.

  15. Be sure to try it toasted!
