Homestead Business

June 29, 2016 by Tiffany Davis 4 Comments

How real-life homesteaders are making money to support their homsteads...and the ideas might surprise you! | ImperfectlyHappy.com

Homestead business may not be what you think…or maybe it is. Last week I asked a few of my fellow homesteading friends to tell me how they are supporting their homesteads from home. I think you’ll find their homestead business interesting, surprising and you just may find something you need!

I hope you will get some ideas to help fund your homesteading efforts; and maybe find something you need as a way to support these homesteaders.

Getting a homestead going and maintaining it can be an expense; it is good to have a home business that can offset those costs. I have always had a home business, but since homesteading it has become even more important (have you seen the price of canning equipment?). My homestead business is Kick the Chemicals – it has been a help to my home and homestead to bring in an extra income; and helping others to get toxins out of their homes is awesome.

So what are my friends doing for their Homestead Business?

I’m so glad you asked!

Teri, of Homestead Honey and her husband have Acorn Hill Handcrafts

Jessica, of The 104 Homestead is a Virtual Assistant

Katie, of Make It Grow It, an awesome fibers website called Handsome Fibers

Amber, of The Coastal Homestead, is part of Low Country Healthy Living Deliveries

Danielle, of The Rustic Elk, has an Etsy Shop with handcrafted goodies

Janet, of Timber Creek Farm, sells wool roving, yarn and crafted goods on Etsy

Mindy, of Farm Fit Living, sells goats from the same website as her blog.

Liz, of Eight Acres Farm, has amazing soaps and salves in her Etsy Shop

Katie, of Mama Kautz, helps promote heath with essential oils

Jordan, of Rabbit Ridget Farm, has wild crafted products in her Etsy Shop

Angi, of Schneider Peeps, gorgeous handmade baskets in her Etsy Shop

Sean and Sonya, of Lally Broch Farm, sell handcrafted jewelry and soaps to support their no-kill farm

Chris and her husband Robin, of Joybilee Farm, have a wood turning business called Turning for Profit

So did you find something you need? Did you get an idea for a homestead business?
