2013 is Heading Out & 2014 is Coming In!

I hope your Christmas was filled with family and friends!  We had a wonderful celebration with my in-laws.  On

My little one didn't find the service as thrilling as we did. ;)

My little one didn’t find the service as thrilling as we did. 😉

Christmas Eve we enjoyed our traditional dinner:  ham with my family’s secret sauce, mashed potatoes, fresh green beans with bacon, Watergate salad and rolls…and dozens of cookies.  We followed dinner with a awesome Christmas Eve service at church.  Then home to open our Christmas PJs, drink hot chocolate and watch It’s a Wonderful Life.

They know me so well!

Christmas day was very relaxed – gifts, breakfast, playing some of the new board games and napping. 😉  I was blessed with 2 new apron that I love and a new homesteading book!

Now we are in the last 6 days of 2013.  I can hardly believe how quickly this year passed by.  Are you making any resolutions?  New goals for the year?  I’ve told myself no resolutions this year…but I’m not sure that will stick or not.  I am adding something into the mix.  I am going to be working on a Project Life book.  I used to scrapbook years ago but then I just seemed to run out of time…and money to work on the books.  Well now I am picking it up again on a more simple scale and digitally; this fits into my life.

I feel like I take a lot of pictures that never get printed and are just stuck on a computer or a phone or online.  I want them in a book that can be shared and enjoyed.   The Project Life concept just fits what I want to document…the everyday occurrences…not just the BIG moments.  I plan on completing a 12×12 page each week to document our life.  It may be 2 pages, we’ll just have to see how things progress.  But here I can document our homeschool days, meeting for coffee with a friend, my garden’s progress, baby buns…etc.  There will be pages just for special things like plays, birthdays, holiday, etc too but life is in the little moments!

I’ve created a Pinterest board for inspiration – Project Life 2014 Inspiration Board.   And I’ll be posting pages here on the blog too.

Here is my first page – created in Photoshop
