Water Bath Canner or consider Ball’s Electric Water Bath Canner

Pressure Canner (if you are going to purchase a pressure canner you can actually use it to water bath can as well and save money and space)

Mason Jars – I like both Ball and Kerr

Lids – refill packs are great, never ever can with used lids! BUT some lids are made to be re-used, like Tattler.

I’m a super beginner. I thought I might try to can this summer and was looking at recipes. The Alfredo sauce looks delicious but I thought dairy couldn’t be canned.

Newbie here. Wanting to use this recipe for making salsa, however my family prefers sweet salsa, even with pineapple and peaches. Using this recipe as the base, would it be safe for me to add canned crushed pineapple, or even some store bought canned peaches?
This whole ph and acid thing has me questioning it.

I have a peach salsa recipe that I am going to post today or tomorrow. I haven’t canned it yet so I cannot advise on that. I would need to check the Ball Canning book on the pineapple.
