How to Make Condensed Cream of Mushroom Soup

Step 1: Chop your mushrooms into small pieces in varieties of sizes smaller than a pea either by hand or food processor. 

Step 2: Place butter in a skillet and melt it. Sauté the mushrooms Until most of the water has evaporated. 

Step 3: You’ll want to mix in the flour until incorporated 

Step 4: Go ahead and add the broth and spices. Bring to a boil.

Step 5: Drop the heat to low and whisk in the half and half allow it to thicken for 3 minutes 

Step 6: Remove and let cool. Will continue to thicken as it cools.

How to Store and Reheat

You can store this soup in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week. When you’re ready to reheat, just add water or milk to thin it out and heat on the stove until warmed through.
