Easy Peasy DIY Dish Detergent

July 27, 2014 by Tiffany Davis 3 Comments

This awesome and powerful dishwasher detergent is super easy to make!  Literally pennies per use, it only took a few minutes to mix it up.  In Phoenix, where the water is hard, this detergent does a great job on glasses too.  I already had everything I need except the Lemi Shine, which I found at the grocery store; on the top shelf above the dish washing products.

Ingredientsdws2

2 cups Arm & Hammer Super Washing Soda

2 cups Borax Detergent Booster

2 cups cups Lemi Shine Detergent Booster

1 cup Epsom Salt

1/2 gallon mason jar with lid

Use a funnel to add all the ingredients to the mason jar.  Then put the lid on tight and give it a good shake to mix all the powders.

To use simply add a tablespoon into both your pre-wash and wash compartments.  To avoid clumping make sure you don’t use a wet spoon!
