My Favorite Instant Pot Accessories and Cookbooks

December 16, 2017 by Tiffany Davis 2 Comments

My absolute favorite Instant Pot accessories and cookbooks – these are the things that make your awesome Instant Pot even cooler! Now I love my Instant Pots (yes that is plural because I have 2); they never leave my kitchen counter because I use them all the time. I’ve pretty much retired my, once loved, crock pot because I love how food turns out in the Instant Pot.

My Favorite Instant Pot Accessories and Cookbooks

Today I want to share with you my favorite Instant Pot accessories and cookbooks. If you have an Instant Pot or you’re giving one away as a gift then any of these Instant Pot accessories and cookbooks would be a great addition!

These Instant Pot accessories and cookbooks are great but be sure to check out my FREE recipes too!

Instant Pot Accessories

Extra Sealing Rings

Ok these aren’t so much “accessories” as a must-have on-hand for Instant Pot emergencies! I recommend you keep one or two of these sealing rings for a few reasons: one the rings can wear out over time and need replacement and rings can hold smells and flavors in them so having one for sweet and one for savory can be a big help.

Extra Stainless Steel Instant Pot Insert

If you don’t have a second Instant Pot an additional insert can really be helpful. I often store leftovers from my last dinner right in the insert so having a 2nd one means I don’t have to do dishes right away to cook another yummy meal or even a dessert the same night!

Instant Pot Clear Tempered Glass Lid

The clear glass lid is great for using your Instant Pot in the slow cooking mode, sauteing or for steaming. And the clear lid is great for popping the insert in the refrigerator with leftovers. This is a really great addition to make your Instant Pot even more versatile.

Stackable  Steamer Insert Pans

The stackable steamer insert pans are awesome! These allow you to cook different items in the same pot. You’ll see people refer to this type of cooking as PIP or pot in pot. Again this can be very useful when you have one pot and need to cook 2 or three things for a meal. These will work with the 5, 6 and 8 quart models. These are also great for a quick re-heat of leftovers in your Instant Pot!

Vegetable Steamer Basket

I think I use this little steamer basket more often than just about any of my Instant Pot accessories. Great, of course, for steaming your veggies but it is great for making hard boiled eggs too. I can stack up almost dozen eggs using this little basket and makes it easy to get everything out.

Silicone Cooking Cups

I love love love these little silicone cups for making poached eggs in my Instant Pot. I put my IP trivet inside the pot, put in a cup of water and pressure cook low for about 5 minutes for 4 poached eggs. Great for breakfast sandwiches or Eggs Benedict. I promise these will be the easiest poached eggs you’ll ever cook! I use the ones pictured but I know others like the silicone cupcake liners as well.

Instant Pot Silicone Springform Cake Pan

Can we just talk about how easy it is to make a delicious cheese cake in the Instant Pot?  Oh my goodness! Using this springform cake pan with a tempered glass bottom also makes serving very easy. Check out This Old Gal’s New York Style Cheesecake Recipe for the Instant Pot! Bring on the strawberry sauce!!!

Sous Vide Immersion Circulator

Yes, you can turn your Instant Pot into a Sous Vide machine! Not sure what Sous Vide is? Sous Vide is a French method of cooking where food is vacuum-sealed in a plastic pouch or a glass jar and then placed in a water bath or steam environment for longer than normal cooking times. And it produces some tasty stuff folks. This takes the IP to a whole new level!

Instant Pot Silicone Lid

Another great option for storing and reheating leftover is the silicone lid that is made especially for the IP. This is also a great way to keep things from spilling when traveling with your Instant Pot or keeping things warm if you remove the insert for cooking something else in your IP.

Instant Pot Cookbooks

Now I’ll be the first one to tell you that there are a lot of great recipes for the Instant Pot on blogs. But these cookbooks are worth the investment!
