Instant Pot Teriyaki Chicken Recipe

What is teriyaki chicken?

Teriyaki chicken is a popular dish that is often made by cooking chicken pieces in a teriyaki sauce. This sauce typically consists of soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, and other seasonings and flavorings, depending on the recipe. Teriyaki chicken can be made using a variety of different cooking methods, including grilling, baking, and pan-frying.

Ingredients Needed

  • Chicken thighs – I prefer to use boneless, skinless chicken thighs for this recipe, but you could also use chicken breasts.
  • Soy sauce – I used low-sodium soy sauce in this recipe.
  • Honey – You could also use maple syrup or agave nectar in place of the honey.
  • Rice vinegar – This is an important ingredient, so make sure to use a high-quality rice vinegar rather than white vinegar or apple cider vinegar.
  • Minced garlic – You can use fresh garlic cloves or store-bought minced garlic, whichever you prefer.
