Looking for a refreshing summer treat on a hot day? This frozen strawberry lemonade recipe is just what you need! This easy to make recipe has only 5 simple ingredients and takes just a few minutes to prepare.
Here in Phoenix the summer temperatures are already in full swing – this week we were over 100 degrees! I like that I can prepare a quick treat for the family without leaving the house. It is like a little vacation in a glass!
This recipe will make 2 – 3 glasses of Frozen Strawberry Lemonade but it is easily doubled or even tripled for larger crowds… or multiple servings.
What is frozen strawberry lemonade?
If you’ve never enjoyed a frozen lemonade, you are in for a treat! A frozen strawberry lemonade is simply a frozen drink made of a combination of pureed berries, lemon concentrate, citrus soda and water as needed. It has a delightful tart and tangy sweetness that is absolutely delicious.
Not only is it yummy, it is a really pretty drink that is great for serving at BBQs, pool parties or other gatherings. Perfect for the summer!
Can I make the frozen lemonade ahead of time?
Sure! You can keep your pre-made frozen lemonade in your freezer in an air-tight container. Just take it out 15 – 20 minutes before you’re ready to enjoy it; it will need to thaw a bit.
Can I use a different berry instead of strawberries?
Absolutely! I like this recipe with raspberries and even blueberries; or try a combination of berries. The look will be different if you add blueberries, but I think you’ll love it!
Is this considered pink lemonade?
Well, no. Did you know that pink lemonade is really just regular lemonade with food coloring? This strawberry lemonade gets its color from actual berries!!!
