Instant Pot Strawberry Jam Recipe

June 13, 2020 by Tiffany Davis 4 Comments

Looking for a fast and delicious strawberry jam recipe to make this summer? Well look no further!

This jam is delicious and easy to make with your Instant Pot. It has a slightly different texture than regular jam since no pectin is used, but the taste is AMAZING.

This recipe works well with both fresh or frozen berries.

I have such great memories of my grandma making freezer jam. It was like spreading fresh strawberries on my English Muffin. I can almost taste the melted butter combining with that delicious strawberry jam right now!

Be sure to check out complimentary recipes at the bottom of this post.

Instant Pot Strawberry Jam Recipe

What is it about summer and strawberries? They just seem to go hand in hand! What better way to continue enjoying strawberries than making your own homemade jam?

This simple Instant Pot Recipe is easy and can be done in less than 30 minutes with only 5 ingredients. Perfect for even beginner jam makers.

Strawberries, sugar and lemons are the stars of this show! This recipe does not need pectin added.

This is not a canned jam so make sure you refrigerate or freeze it.

You can keep this strawberry jam for up to a week in the refrigerator. The jam also does great in the freezer for up to 6 months.

How to Make Instant Pot Jam

The print recipe is below.

Instant Pot Strawberry Jam Ingredients:

2 pounds fresh or frozen strawberries (about 4 ½ cups)

1 cup granulated sugar

2 tablespoons lemon juice
(or try orange juice for a slightly different flavor)

¼ cup corn starch

¼ cup water

Instant Pot Strawberry Jam Instructions:

Remove stems and slice strawberries. Place in medium sized bowl. Pour sugar over strawberries and let them sit for at least 10 minutes. Longer, or even overnight is fine.

Place strawberries and sugar in Instant Pot.

Close the lid on the Instant Pot and secure the pressure release valve.

Cook on high pressure for 1 minute.

Allow natural release.

Combine the cornstarch and water until smooth.

Remove the Instant Pot lid  and stir in cornstarch and water mixture.

Select “saute” and bring the mixture to a full boil.  Boil for several minutes, stirring frequently until mixture has thickened. Turn off Instant pot and let jam cool.

Pour jam into jars.

This is a “freezer” jam, meaning the jars are not sealed and shelf-stable. Keep any jam you plan to use within a week in the fridge. Store jam in freezer for up to six months.
