Easy to make gifts to DIY this holiday season – that won’t break the bank or your budget. Tis the season to overspend, but it doesn’t have to be that way! I love to make simple gifts for my family and friends, and they always love getting something homemade. A homemade gift shows that you truly took time to give them a gift with meaning, time and a little of yourself poured into it. But DIY holiday gifts don’t have to be hard to be wonderful. I have an entire list of easy to make gifts that you can make before the season gets in full swing. Skip the Black Friday shopping, pour a big mug of coffee and let’s get crafty!
I know that we are all living very busy lives; not everyone feels like they can take time to make diy gifts. But that’s the beauty of these homemade gifts – they should take you less than an hour to complete! I find making gifts very relaxing, you might too; it is a great time to pick one of these amazing DIY gifts and give it a shot. Gifts made by your hands are priceless, truly.
Easy to Make Gifts to DIY
The first gift is one that is ALWAYS a hit – and a perfect DIY stocking stuffer!

My Favorite All Natural Orange and Peppermint Lip Balm
Ingredients
- 1 oz of Organic Beeswax
- 2 oz of Unrefined Organic Shea Butter
- 1 oz of Extra Virgin Organic Coconut Oil
- 10 Drops of Orange Essential Oils
- 10 Drops of Peppermint Essential Oil
- Containers
- Double Boiler or glass bowl & pot
- Glass dropper
Instructions
-
Melt the beeswax, shea butter and coconut oil over medium heat – DO NOT BOIL
-
Once melted, remove from heat and quickly add your essential oils

Give it a gentle but quick stir
-
Pour slowly into your containers - I used 10 of these and love the old school feel.

You can let them cool on the counter or put them in the fridge until completely cooled and hardened

Put on your top.
Recipe Notes
BONUS – You can make lotion bars with this same recipe! Using the same measurements you can make 2 Altoid tin lotion bars. Be careful to only fill to just below the hinge or you’ll make a mess.

Easy to Make Homemade Kahlua or Coffee Liqueur
Ingredients
- 2.5 cups of pure cane sugar
- 3 Tablespoons of instant coffee
- 1 Tablespoon of pure vanilla extract no imitation
- 4 cups of water preferably filtered
- 2.5 cups of a good quality vodka
Instructions
-
Add water, sugar, and instant coffee to a pan

Bring to a boil, stirring often

Reduce to a low simmer for 1.5 hours (this will reduce by about half)

After the 1.5 hour simmer allow the liquid to cool completely

Once completely cooled add in vodka and vanilla

Stir
-
Bottle (make sure you sterilize your bottles and lids)
Recipe Notes
Label and decorate to your liking. Enjoy a little glass of the leftovers over ice with cream. This recipe will make about 45 oz of coffee liqueur. Very easy to double or triple, as needed, for gifts.
